At LINKT, we run focused, one-week training programmes – covering CV writing, job search strategies, mentoring, and interview preparation – as well as offering personalised one-on-one coaching. We give you the practical tools and motivation you need to succeed, all while in a safe, judgement-free environment.
Once training is complete, we walk alongside you for up to 16 weeks, providing ongoing job search support and mentoring as you settle into employment. You’re never alone in this journey.

Just bring yourself. We provide amazing kai (meals and snacks) every day, as well as mileage support and phone top-ups to get you here, and keep you connected. It’s casual dress but come in as if you are working for the week. We also provide laptops to use on-site.
Yes. Once you’ve completed the one-week programme, we walk with you as you find the right job for you. We provide weekly job search sessions where we can assist you in finding and applying for work, writing the perfect cover letter, as well as ongoing mentoring. Where possible, we also connect you directly to local businesses with vacancies in your area of interest.
LINKT is run by the Tauranga Business Chamber. We’re a membership organisation made up of a wide range of local businesses and employers.

Meet the team leader
Hilary McCabe

Kia ora, I’m Hilary – manager of LINKT. I’m a passionate job coach and skilled facilitator, supporting rangatahi here in Tauranga to unlock opportunities and thrive. My mission is to create a welcoming and supportive space where young people from all walks of life can be themselves, build confidence, and explore new pathways toward meaningful mahi.
With roots in the tropics, I bring a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and inclusive practices to everything I do. I understand the complex barriers young adults often face and strive to empower them with proactive, supportive solutions that meet their needs and celebrate their strengths to transition into employment.
Karina Dawson

Tena koe, I’m Karina – coordinator at the LINKT Employment Hub.
I help meet with jobseekers, coordinate the learning sessions, and ensure your records are kept safe and confidential.
With many years of successful experience, I get a real kick out of supporting young people into long-term employment. I’m really looking forward to meeting you, building your confidence, and preparing you for a job that you really enjoy.
