It is no longer a question of whether businesses in Tauranga are using AI. The question leaders now face is whether the AI they use is actually working for them.
On the 9th of June, Employment Hero is bringing their North Island roadshow to our region. They are inviting members and non-members to join them at Trinity Wharf for an afternoon built around exactly that question.
It is a chance for Tauranga business leaders to gather, share what they are seeing in their own workplaces, and hear practical examples from those who are already putting AI to work in the day-to-day running of their teams.

Hear directly from leaders putting AI to work, facilitated by Janine Hellyer, Director at BDO Tauranga. Panellists: Neil Webster, NZ GM at Employment Hero, Karly Boast, Founder & Managing Director at Bold & Co and Grant Johnson, Founder & CEO at Rocketspark.
Local case study
You will also hear about AI in practice through a case study story of Thermosash, a local manufacturer that used to spend a full week screening a single job applicant. With Employment Hero's AI, they are now reviewing 10 candidates in under 20 minutes. Their opening session will walk through how they did it, with a live demo of the AI recruitment agent.

Together with attendees, there will be discussions around how to cut through the noise and explore where AI is genuinely making a difference for Kiwi businesses today, including:
